The Scout Guide (2016)
The Scout Guide produces locally focused guides with a mission (as stated on the sites about page) to connect you with "...inspiration, as well as with makers and experts who can help you enhance your life, elevate your surroundings, and enjoy your community to the fullest," and in 2016 it was time the website matched the message.
My goal for the project was to emphasize editorial features on the home page, as well as in the navigation; to connect users with local guides and the Editors who produce them; to reimagine a network-wide business directory which needed to be appealing, filterable, and functional; and everything needed to be inspiring, responsive, and fast.
The result is a cleaner more current site that hasn't lost sight of the brand and its distinctly elegant aesthetic.
